EXPLORE THE ICONIC MOUNT KILIMANJARO
Embark on an awe-inspiring journey to the highest peak in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain globally, towering approximately 5,985 meters above sea level. Mount Kilimanjaro boasts three majestic volcanic peaks: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.
Located in Northern Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is enveloped by a diverse array of flora and fauna. Visitors can encounter a variety of wildlife such as grey duikers, bushbucks, cape buffaloes, and blue monkeys within the Kilimanjaro National Park.
This snow-capped marvel showcases a rugged terrain, transitioning from lush rainforests at its base to semi-arid landscapes and expansive glaciers adorning the Kibo and Mawenzi volcanic cones.
Activities at Mount Kilimanjaro cater to the park's diverse habitats. Tourists can indulge in birdwatching, cycling, nature walks, game drives, camping, animal sightings, picnicking, primate trekking, visits to Chala crater lake, and hikes to the renowned Uhuru Peak. With six hiking routes to choose from—including Machame, Rongai, Shira, Lemosho, Marangu, and Umbwe—visitors can select a route based on their fitness level. Hiking to the summit typically ranges from 6 to 8 days, depending on the chosen route and individual fitness.
As Mount Kilimanjaro lies near the equator, the optimal time for hiking is during the dry seasons, characterized by warmer weather. The dry months from December to March and late June through September offer ideal conditions for exploration.
